GROUP CLASSES

Group dance classes are great way to learn different dance styles, pick up fun moves, meet new friends and get in shape in a fun group atmosphere! You will have an opportunity to dance with various partners throughout the class, so you are not required to come with a partner. Group classes focus on learning proper technique and movement, partnering skills, choreography, fitness and performance. We have classes for beginners through advanced students.

Our focus is on mastering the basics of Latin (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive) and Ballroom dances (Slow Waltz, Tango, Argentine Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quick Step). In our group classes, we dedicate multiple sessions to each dance style, ensuring you feel confident and free on the dance floor. For those seeking a deeper dive into specific dances, we offer personalized private lessons.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons are the most effective way to learn how to dance! Its the fastest way to obtain your dancing goals, immediately giving you comfort and clarity with your new skill. During your one-on-one private lessons you will receive personalized instruction focused on your needs. Whether you are a social or competitive student, our instructors will customize each lesson and ongoing program to your personal goals and desires

How long a private lesson last? 45-Minutes

What type of shoes should I wear for dance classes? Do you sell dance shoes at the studio? For dance classes, we recommend wearing elegant, dress shoes instead of sneakers or athletic shoes. Dance shoes should have smooth soles to slide easily on the dance floor, as rubber soles can leave marks on the wooden floor. We have a shop with dance shoes available for purchase, and you can check out the sizes and styles on our website. If you're serious about dancing, investing in a good pair of shoes from trusted brands like International Dance Shoes is definitely worth it!

Best dance studio ever. I originally signed up for 3 private lessons with my 18 year old daughter thinking it would be a fun experience. I also danced a waltz group dance. These were so much fun that I have not stopped dancing and it is has over 2 years of private and group dances. Alex, Vlad, and Shivali are top notch teachers. And I love the mix of Latin and Ballroom dancing as each dance has its own distinct flavour. I have gone to Latin dancing socials but going to Friday night dance socials at Waterloo Dance that also include Ballroom dance offers incredible feelings that you cannot experience by just dancing Latin (eg. The strength and power of Tango; the gracefulness and beauty of Waltz). Never thought I would ever like dancing and now I can’t stop. Absolute 5 Stars for Waterloo Dance
